Hi! I am Mridul, the guy behind this blog.
I am currently an undergraduate student at Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar. I am a part-time blogger, and this was started way back when I was in 9th standard, when I used Blogger Platform to blog about the new technologies being launched at a blog that I called “Macindroid“. It is about to complete 4 lakh page views soon.
After that, I came to know about many other Indian Bloggers at that time who had also started their Blogging Journey. Unlike me, most of them, almost all of them, were either in colleges or pass-outs. The common thing that bonded us all was “Labnol“, the awesome and probably the first-successfully running tech-blog by an Indian Blogger and an IIT graduate, Amit Agarwal. I also remember two Facebook Groups – Bloggers Lounge and Techism, which were more active than my newsfeed. That’s from where my network with the other fellow bloggers from India came into existence.
After that, I started talking to them on Facebook, and got to know how they were advancing with following several foreign “Money-Making” blogs, doing SEO and other things to get good position, and also Facebook group postings and link stuffing. Fortunately, and, Unfortunately, I had to give a pause to blogging because I went to Kota for IIT-JEE preparations at Bansal Classes. Of Course, I was following them on Facebook and used to read their talks on those Facebook Groups.
Then came the JEE results, and whoop… I got selected! The first thing I did was to buy a domain- “techtheorem.com – sold to someone now” and hosting and moved onto WordPress, as WP is the King, after content! After getting to spend most of the time for the college events, fests etc., I came to realise that there is a need to manage time and not put leg in all the provinces, rather have my own priority set.
And Urban Rabbit was born. I have branded it very professionally, and I try to cover the things I like on this blog. It feels very joyful when fellow bloggers or some experts get mesmerised by your designing skills and you get appreciated for your work. I think this is what every blogger, not only a blogger, but everyone must think upon. Right now, as I write this, Urban Rabbit has managed to pull up some 3.5k fans on Facebook and gets a 150+ daily page views.
Born under a lucky star, a perfect opportunity came, where the college was sponsoring students to go backpack and explore India. How could I miss such a chance, for God’s sake? I applied for it, got interviewed, and selected. That’s where the existence of Dual Backpackers blog (no more in existence) can be traced.
The blog, as you can see, has been designed with perfection. When you put time and work smartly, you definitely get the output. This is what I have learnt after coming to this college, and now I have tons of reasons to get self-motivated.
Now, I am also a contributor at Huffington Post India and I have completed 16 states in India.
