It was announced today (Feb1 10, 2015) that browsing Facebook in India has been made “Cost-less”. All thanks to Facebook-led Internet.org initiative and UCWeb for launching UC Browser for Internet.org, a special version of its flagship browser that gives Reliance subscribers in India free access to a group of mobile websites including Facebook and others at no data charges. UCWeb is the developer of mobile browser which has 41% of market share in India as of December 2014 according to StatCounter.The aim is to make Internet more accessible and more affordable to local users.
