In case you are coming by road, then you can probably reach Shimla by bus or car. Shimla is 7 kilometers far from Shoghi.

The perfect time to plan a short, sweet weekend in Shoghi is during the summers, where the harsh heat does not affect the cool weather of the place. Though, it is a place that is comfortable to visit through out the year, but the most preferable escape would be from the heat. The weather is calm and pleasant, with short spells of rain occasionally.
March to June is the peak tourist season at Shoghi and also an ideal time to indulge yourself in adventure sports. If you are looking for snow, then the best time to visit Shoghi is between November to February.

The non-vegetarian food, if requested for, is well made as well. It is a good break from the heavy, oily junk food that is so consumed in the cities often. There are several small food joints in Shoghi and Sharma Dhaba is a popular one.
