Imagine there’s an old building around your home or somewhere in the woods. If given a chance, would you paint it with colorful graffiti from inside? This has been made possible by a group of individuals lead by a collective called “Church Brigade”. A 100-year old church was turned into a skate park painted with graffiti all over the walls and ceiling with the help from Red Bull and Online Fundraising.
The church of Santa Barbara in Asturias, Spain was built in 1912 and had become abandon some years back. They call the re-incarnated church by the name “Kaos Temple”. Apart from the graffiti and colorful geometrical designs, the group also managed to establish a skate park inside the church. The church is located in northern Spanish town of Llanera.
Artist Okuda San Miguel is the person behind the colorful geometrical designs and graffitis all over the church which has now been converted into a skate park called Kaos Temple.
Btw, Okuda has already been to India several times and was invited to StArt Delhi 2015. Below is a photo of what he did in Chennai!
