A few hours ago, I saw some posts on my Facebook feed stating that Whatsapp is finally on web and there’s no need of Telegram now and blah blah! See the screenshot :
Being a keen technothiast, I left everything away and managed to get the official link of the webpage. Okay, so I downloaded a QR reader on my phone, and I double checked if my whatsapp was updated to the zenith or not, and then a lot more head mess to find the ‘Whatsapp Web’ button (whose existence is still doubted).
Finally, after a lot realization, I found out that it is true and the screenshots have been shared on TechCrunch. The main reason why I wasn’t able to believe on it was because it was not been mentioned on their official website. Plus, there was this whatsapp ban for 24 hours thing that just popped up in the news yesterday. WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. Snapchat, with it’s really cool and new features has been in my top list this week, let’s see what’s up with the whatsapp ?! 😀 Let your feeling flow in the comment box. Ps. There’s no such word as ‘Technothiast’ in the dictionary.
Update: Whatsapp is now available as an application for desktop and macs, and you can download it here: Download Whatsapp. It comes in handy when I want to send some files (mostly pictures) from my laptop to someone else on Whatsapp. Now I don’t need to send it to phone and can take a simple shortcut.
The only thing that I didn’t like was that my phone’s WhatsApp is required to be connected to the internet while accessing it from laptop. I know they are trying to make it mobile specific, but still!
